Project Origin
The project begins with David, a young man who has Down syndrome. As a designer, I was interested in investigating ways Down syndrome has been misunderstood in the past and exploring opportunities to improve those circumstances going forward for people like David.
Two Paths
David, Down Syndrome & Design offers two proposals to help those with Down syndrome to become more independent. The first aims to help expand their means of mobility. The second focuses on ways to foster an individual's intellectual skills through an online community mentoring platform.
